Artist Biography
Cloud Kent (born Kenneth J. Gomez, Manhattan, NYC) is a contemporary pop artist whose work sits at the intersection of street roots, spiritual depth, and bold visual language. With over 30 years of creating, Cloud Kent has built a body of work that collectors describe as transformative — paintings that change the energy of the room they inhabit.
In 2015, at 25 years old, Cloud Kent underwent life-saving open-heart surgery — he died on the table and came back. This became the genesis of everything: a complete re-dedication to art as calling, not career. In 2021, he was diagnosed with a rare eye condition that left him partially blind, yet deepened his practice further. He paints by feel, by faith, by what he calls Christ Consciousness — a divine awareness that moves through him onto canvas.
His style draws from the lineage of Andy Warhol, Keith Haring, and Jean-Michel Basquiat — bold color, raw emotion, pop culture filtered through spiritual depth and Latinx identity. His brand, Amor de Clouds, extends his artistic world into fashion and community, with a gallery open to all.
